Since 2009, Professor Esser has been involved in the Board Governance Workshop at the University of Johannesburg. This programme is accredited by the Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA) and equips directors and senior executives with the governance knowledge and skills required for effective board participation.
Specialist training programme on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investing, co-delivered with Professor Piet Delport. This programme covers the regulatory landscape, practical integration of ESG factors into investment decisions, and the evolving role of corporate purpose in sustainable finance.
